Strawberry Wine

Refreshingly Delicious and Easy to make.

Ingredients:                                                                                                                                                cups Water ….. 7                                                                                                                                        Cups Corn Sugar….2 1/2

1 Lemon Juice and Zest

1 gram Wine Yeast

1/2 gram Brew Vint

Start by adding 7 cups water and  2 1/4 cups corn sugar to a large stockpot. Bring to a boil. Let cool until lukewarm.

Wash and cap the strawberries. Add the juice and the Zest of the Lemon.

Add the strawberry and lemon mixture to the lukewarm water and mash with a potato masher. Cover and let sit on the counter for two days, mashing once a day.

Strawberry Sanitize

Sanitize two Growlers or a small carboy and a strainer.

Strain

Pour the strawberry mixture through the strainer. Sprinkle the yeast in and add the brew vint.

Wine yeast

Add a little oxygen for the yeast

Wine Oxygen

Let set at room temp for about 3 weeks. Cold crash it at about 65 degrees and siphon off, leaving the trub at the bottom. Refrigerate and drink. Makes about 6 glasses of wine.

Hygrometer

We sanitized a hygrometer and took the Original Gravity 1.060

Air Lock and top with an Air Lock.
