Strainer use – 11/11/11

We have found that to keep trube (sediment at the bottom of the fermenter) and floating particles out of our finished, bottled product; the use of a strainer comes in handy.

The syphoning tube has a cap on it that does help to reduce the amount of floating particles and trube passed, but as you can see in this picture, there is still a little matter that is passed through the tube, but is caught by our strainer. A fine kitchen strainer works well.

Do you have a different way to strain the trube or floating particles? We’d love to see your pictures and hear your ideas!
