Spruce Tip Stout…

What could be more festive than craft beer?

What is more festive that a Christmas tree? How about a beer that tastes like a Christmas tree?

Rick and Barry at R&B have done just that with their Spruce Tip Stout, a little collaboration between the lads and their colleagues at Brassneck, 33 Acres, Main Street Brewing and Red Truck to celebrate craft beer month.

Described as a sessionable stout (I gather that means it is specifically built to be consumed in large quanities. An admirable quality for a beer.), spruce tips are added as a dry hop.

This is a dark, opaque stout with all the roasty, toasty, coffee and chocolate notes native to the style.
