Beano to the rescue

Have you ever had a beer that just wouldn’t hit your goal for Final Gravity? We have, and in the past, we actually dumped a beer that was in “stuck Fermentation”. We added yeast and sugar to no avail. Finally we dumped it down the drain. It was very sad.

Recently, we had a beer that was starting to look like it might not reach full attenuation, so we added 3 smashed capsules of Beano to the 5 gal carboy. In two days the FG went from 1.018 to 1.012. Saved the beer!
